This year, Christian Educators of BC has formed a working group to examine the role educational assistants (classroom assistants, learning assistants, and special education assistants) play within our Christian schools.
Two surveys have been sent out to a diverse sampling of schools asking Learning Support Service Coordinators questions about working conditions (ie. remuneration, job qualifications and expectations) as well as asking educational assistants about staff culture. If you have received a survey, we appreciate your participation! The information and feedback you provide helps CEBC and partner organizations focus our work and define how to best support our educational assistant members.
Special thanks to our working group:
CEBC Board member: Janet Schaafsma, Learning Support Services Coordinator, Langley Christian School
Support Staff: Michael Myers, Educational Assistant, Pacific Christian School
Christian Principal’s Association of BC: Jeanette Berkenbosch, Vice Principal, Unity Christian School
Society of Christian Schools in BC: Tracey Yan, Director of Finance
