The 2020-21 SCSBC Compensation Report has now been posted. The objective of this report is to develop salary and benefit recommendations that will enable all stakeholders to reflect Christian community in our schools. The intent is to recommend fair and equitable salaries for staff, responsible fiscal and budgetary policies for school boards, and appropriate and affordable tuition fees for parents. The report asks that school boards collaborate in adapting the recommendations according to needs and conditions of each individual school community. While the recommendations are not intended to be minimums or maximums, they are, nevertheless, meant as a guide for local compensation discussions.
In keeping with its mandate to factor in both core inflation and salary increases of similar Christian school organizations in neighbouring provinces as well as other faith-based independent school associations within BC, the Compensation Committee has aimed for a 2% overall increase to the salaries and wages in the 20-21 school year.
