Engage in a journey of reconciliation & professional development in the sunny Cowichan valley. Join other educators from across the province and country on Monday, July 22 for 6 nights and 7 days.
Engage in traditional practices including paddling ancestral waters in a canoe, preparing and enjoying fire smoked salmon. Visit with local artists and elders to hear the stories of the land and how it was and is used by the local indigenous population.
Accommodations will be at Honeymoon Bay Retreat Centre in sunny Lake Cowichan. Participants will have the opportunity to hear stories of the local Coast Salish nation while being introduced and immersed in the local indigenous culture.
The goal of this professional development experience is to help Christian educators better understand a culture different than their own, but no less cherished by our Creator God.
Cost: $1100 for SCSBC members and $1300 for non-members.
