Trauma informed practice is a systems approach designed to better support the increasingly complex students we serve. Children and their families who have experienced adverse events in their lives such as divorce, abuse, neglect, and exposures to violence require unique approaches and interventions. This is your opportunity to engage in the topic of advancing compassionate learning communities.
Dr. O’Neill is a practicing therapist, a certified trauma specialist and educator at UNBC, and the Clinical Coordinator at the Community Counselling Centre in Prince George. From years of trauma practice with children and youth in Northern communities and through research on all aspects of trauma effects and interventions, Dr. O’Neil has compiled and designed trauma informed training. PDK-UBC invites you to connect with other leaders and engage with our speaker. Join us and be inspired!
