Meet Nikkie Harper, a primary teacher in Australia, who is seeking a teacher exchange in Canada:
Our family is seeking an exchange to Canada in 2020. This will involve me coming to your job and your house in late December/ early January 2020 for the year. In exchange, you will have our house and my job at Emmaus Christian School Canberra. The exchange would be organised through the ACT/NSW Independent Education Union. For more details: https://www.ieu.asn.au/teacher-exchange. This organization sponsors you to come to Australia and assists in organising the relevant paperwork etc. There are lots of tax deductions available too!
My name is Nikkie and I am a Junior Primary teacher at Emmaus Christian School Canberra, Australia. I am a wife to Andrew and a mother of 2 children, Chloe aged 10 and Cameron aged 8.
**About Emmaus **
Emmaus Christian School Canberra was established in 1997 and has since sustained a focus on building strong community through engaging partnerships between home and school. By providing a Christian education, the school enters into partnerships with parents who desire their children to be equipped with a biblical world view - a set of presuppositions that views the world through Biblical truths. (Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 10:5). Being a gospel-shaped community, Christian education at Emmaus is shown through the delivery of a Christ-centered curriculum and a teaching and learning program delivered by staff who submits all of life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We are a school that caters for children from preschool - year 10 with around 350 students. It is a very community minded school and you would immediately feel welcome.
Canberra is the capital city of Australia. With a population of 410,300, it is Australia's largest inland city and the eighth-largest city overall. The city is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory, 280 km south-west of Sydney, and 660 km north-east of Melbourne.
Canberra is full of a range of things to do and see. Whether it’s visiting a museum, bushwalking, seeing a show or dining at restaurants, Canberra has something for everyone. It is a very family-friendly city with many free things to see and do. Find out more about Canberra>>
